Ms. Deszora Battle Edwards, 89, 726 Longleaf Ave., Goldsboro, N.C., was born Sept. 6, 1920, in Wilson County to the late Alfred and Exie Battle. She departed this earthly life Saturday, June 12, 2010, at her residence.
A time for visitation for Ms. Edwards will take place Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations Inc. Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Church of Christ Church in Black Creek. Burial will be in Willowdale Cemetery.
