NEW BERN -- Evelyn Garnett Hood, 82, died Thursday.
A graveside service of remembrance will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Cove City Cemetery.
Mrs. Hood was born Oct. 5, 1927, in Salem, Va., to the late Minor Eugene Garnett and Hattie May Cannady Garnett. She was wife of the late Milton Hood.
Mrs. Hood is survived by four children.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home of LaGrange.
