LULA S. PETTY
NEWARK, N.J. -- Graveside rites for the Rev. Lula Swinson Petty, 87, formerly of Goldsboro, will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Swinson Family Cemetery, N.C. 581 north in Goldsboro.
Mrs. Petty is survived by a daughter, Mingina Martin of New Jersey; a sister, Minnie Ruffin of Washington, D.C.; three brothers, David Swinson and Robert "Bob" Swinson both of Goldsboro and Carl Swinson of Washington, D.C.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St. in Goldsboro.
The family will assemble at the cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Friday.
