KATHERINE J. EDGERTON

Katherine J. Edgerton, 92, passed away Wednesday morning at the Brian Center.
Graveside service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with David Brindle officiating.
Katherine was born in Wayne County Nov. 1, 1917, to the late William and Mae Kornegay Jinnette.
She was a sales representative for the Avon Cosmetics Co.
Katherine was a past matron of the Eastern Star and was a member of Goldsboro Friends Meeting.
Katherine is survived by her son, David H. Edgerton and wife, Janie, of Goldsboro; her daughters, Barbara Johnson and husband, Gordon, of Goldsboro and Ruth Deaver and husband, Dennis, of Eden; sister, Dora Lee J. Browder of Medford, Ore.; grandchildren, Kay Johnson, Hal Johnson, Gwen Goodyear, Scott Johnson, Jeff Edgerton, Erik Edgerton, Travis Deaver and Janet Deaver; and great-grandchildren, Brandy Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Hannah Goodyear, Amber Goodyear, Elijah Deaver, Michael Edgerton, Travis Edgerton and Emily Edgerton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Harold Edgerton; a grandson, Michael Edgerton; brother, G. Robert Jinnette; and two sisters, Everette J. Carr and Willie Mae J. Brown.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 7:30 at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the home David and Janie Edgerton at 365 N.C. 581 south in Goldsboro and Barbara and Gordon Johnson at 1210 Old Smithfield Road in Goldsboro.
