Walter Ray Rivers and Shauntell Heaggans announce the birth and death of infant Walter Ray Rivers Jr. Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Sampson officiating.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Angela Heaggans; paternal grandparents, Carol Quinn and Danny Jones; and aunts and uncles, Ashley Rivers, Robin Rivers, Danny Rivers, Shonice Heaggans, Sergio Heaggans, Tonisha Smith, Antonio Smith and Anthony Smith.
The family will greet friends Friday immediately following the service at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
