TURKEY -- Donald Ray "Monk" Bell, 49, 2350 New Hope Church Road, died Thursday at Sampson Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at Wilson Chapel Church, with pastor Steven C. Moore officiating. Burial will be in Bell Family Cemetery in Faison.
He was born in Sampson County in 1960 and was the son of the late Willie and Alma Blue Bell.
He was a cook at Mary Gran Nursing Center.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha Bell of the home; daughters, Michelle Bell of Clinton, Alejandria Wilson of Warsaw, Virginia Brunson of Clinton and Tameka Brunson of Clinton; a son, Tyrell Brunson of Turkey; brothers, Jeff Bell of Mount Olive. Lonezo Bell of Goldsboro and Mitchell Bell of Wilmington; sisters, Mary Gibbs of Riegelwood, Shelvia Faison of Faison and Kate Bullock of Warsaw; and nine grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 to 6 p.m., with the family present from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hope Valley Funeral Service and Cremation, 1275 Hobbton Highway in Clinton.
