BERNICE J. SUTTON

SMITHFIELD -- Bernice Jarman Sutton, 85, passed away Saturday at Smithfield Manor.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends following service and at other times at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Melissa Sutton, 22 Clover Drive in Princeton. A private graveside will be held.
Mrs. Sutton was born in Jones County May 14, 1924, to the late Furney Jarman and Pennie F. Smith Jarman.
She is survived by her husband, Ross Benjamin Sutton of Goldsboro; a son, Ron Sutton and wife, Melissa, of Princeton; a daughter, Fran Head of Grover Beach, California; four sisters, Pollie Mae Howard of Kinston, Ethel Davis of Kinston, Bessie Murphy of Pink Hill and Clara Stanley of Kinston; two grandchildren, Kevin Anderson and wife, Denine, and Christina Head; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sutton was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Jarman and Raeford Jarman, and a sister, Dorothy Jarman.
