FREMONT -- Darlene Munden Edmundson, 50, passed away Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service will be held tonight at 7 from the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont with visitation afterwards. Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Eureka Cemetery.
Darlene was born Aug. 10, 1959.
She was a member of Lucama Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Edmundson; her mother and stepfather, Mary Elizabeth Futtrell and John Brantley Futtrell of Fremont; a son, Jason Edmundson and fiancée, Crystal Proctor, both of Fremont; three brothers, Michael Munden and fiancée, Christy Hamilton, of Goldsboro, Richard Newton of Norfolk, Va., and Bill Munden and wife, Jane, of Colorado; a sister, Debbie Weatherly and husband, Ralph, of Camden; five grandchildren, Lexie, Aubrey, Jayden Edmundson and Grant and Dakota Capps; and her mother-in-law, Pat Edmundson of Pikeville.
Darlene was preceded in death by her father, Bill Munden, and a sister, Ann Boyette.
The family will receive friends at the residence, 118 Beaufort Road in Fremont.
