JAMES F. JENNETTE

FREMONT -- James "Jim" Franklin Jennette, 70, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Tuesday at his home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Graveside services will be held Sunday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Jennette was born in Wayne County June 24, 1939, to the late Edgar Morris Jennette and Lula Weaver Jennette.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret A. Jennette; two daughters, Diane Jones and husband, Doug, of Pikeville and Sheryl Bell and husband, Robin, of Goldsboro; four brothers, Bob Jennette and wife, Edna, of Goldsboro, Kenneth Jennette and wife, Marie, of Pikeville, David Jennette of Missouri and Donald Jennette and wife, Sue, of Grantham; one sister, Margaret Ann Lawton and husband, Rock, of Illinois; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his "baby" puppy, Queenie.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jennette was preceded in death by one son, James Keith Jennette, and his puppy, "Ginger."

The family will receive friends following the service Saturday evening at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Doug Jones, 111 S. Mill St. in Pikeville.
