NANCY MAUNEY

Nancy Ellen Mauney, 65, departed this life Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mount Olive Presbyterian Church, 105 N. Breazeale Ave. in Mount Olive, with the Rev. Steven Wicks presiding. Following the service, a reception will be held in the fellowship hall. Burial will be at a later date.
She was born in Shelby to the late Rev. James Herman and Tallulah Hall Mauney.
Before retirement, Nancy was employed for many years at Howell's Child Care Center in LaGrange. Since retirement, Nancy resided at GlenCare Assisted Living and Mount Olive Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Ms. Mauney is survived by two brothers, Edward Lee Mauney and wife, Shirley, of Statesboro, Ga., and James Marshall Mauney and wife, Judy, of Raleigh; two nieces, Beth Delnostro and husband, David, of Savannah, Ga., and Sandy Jones and husband, Mark, of Statesboro, Ga.; one nephew, Mike Mauney and wife, Rita, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; several great nieces and nephews; and three special friends, Vicki Davis of Dudley, Barry Giddings of Mount Olive and Irene Howell of LaGrange.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mount Olive Presbyterian Church.
