LUCILLE S. IVEY

LAGRANGE -- Lucille Smith Ivey, 88, passed away Friday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A service of remembrance will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at New Hope Friends Meeting, with pastor Bill Garner officiating. Following visitation, interment will be held at Seven Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Ivey was born Sept. 10, 1921, in Wayne County to the late Vann and Daisy Wells Smith.
She was a member of New Hope Friends Meeting.
Mrs. Ivey is survived by her husband of 69 years, Kivett Ivey; four children, Butch Ivey of Las Vegas, Nev., Susan Ivey Smith of Sylva, L. Dennis Ivey and wife, Peggy, of LaGrange and Billie Ivey Hoyle and husband, Don, of Sylva; sister, Mattie Lee Ham of Kinston; brother, David Vann Smith of Seven Springs; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends following the service of remembrance and at other times they will be at the home.
