EMMA R.H. LEWIS
Died Sept. 20, 2009
CLINTON -- Emma Ruth Hogue Lewis, 77, 213 Forest Trail, died in Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro Sunday.
A graveside service will be held today at 3 p.m. at Clinton Cemetery, with the Rev. Michael Shook officiating.
Born in 1932 in Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Lewis was the daughter of the late Cecil and Campie Hogue.
She was a charter member of Grove Park Baptist Church, a former employee with Roses Department Store and a homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter, Joy Lewis Shaw and husband, Howie, of Goldsboro; a son, Brantley Lewis of Clinton; and two brothers, Clayton Hogue and Dale Hogue both of California; three grandchildren, Jennifer Lewis, Ashlie Lewis and Haley Ginn; and one great-grandson, Jessiah Oates.
She was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
