Sandra Edwards Parrott, 62, passed away Friday at her home.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Whitley Church, with the Rev. Ferrell Hardison officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Sandra was born in Wayne County Aug. 3, 1947, to Velma Hines Edwards of Goldsboro and the late Herbert M. Edwards. She was married to the late Charles R. Parrott.
Sandra had worked as a teacher's assistant at Eastern Wayne Elementary School and had volunteered with Edgewood Developmental School.
She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, the American Diabetes Association and the Autism Society.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Troy Daw and wife, April, of Goldsboro, Rodney Daw and wife, Laureen, of Raleigh, Angela D. Wallace of Goldsboro and Rebecca D. Blum and husband, Seth, of Raleigh; and five grandchildren, Camden Daw, Joshua Wallace, Eowyn Blum, Nicolas Daw and Havana Blum. She is also survived by her brothers, Jack Edwards and wife, Betsy, of Goldsboro, C. Randall Edwards and wife, Dorann, of Thomasville and Jerry Edwards and wife, Marie, of Goldsboro; and her stepchildren, Jean P. Coble and husband, Mitchell, Charles Ray Parrott Jr. and David Parrott.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the National Breast Cancer Association, 2600 Network Blvd., Suite 300, Frisco, Texas, 75034, or to the National Autism Association, 1330 W. Schatz Lane, Nixa, Mo., 65714.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, Friday following the service at 129 Hillside Drive, Goldsboro, and at other times, the family will be at the home of Troy and April Daw, 152 Creek Run Drive, Goldsboro.
