LOIS M.A. NARRON

SELMA -- Lois M. Avera Narron, 88, died Sunday afternoon at Wilson Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens.

Born June 19, 1921, in Johnston County to the late Paul Aberton and Anna Langdon Avera, she was the widow of Robert Woodrow Narron.

Lois was retired from the Sylvania Co. and was a longtime member of Branch Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving are her brother, John Avera and wife, Marilyn, of Black Creek; sisters, Mildred Avera Bunn and Doris A. Brown and husband, Noah, all of Micro, Pauline A. Godwin and husband, James, of Pikeville, Peggy A. Weaver and husband, R.H., of Selma and Linda A. Williams and husband, Thomas, of Rocky Mount. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers, James Avera and Vic Avera, and a sister, Lorine Godwin.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. today prior to the service.
