MOUNT OLIVE -- Milford L. Hines, 84, died Tuesday.
A resident of the Indian Springs community, he was retired from 7-Up Bottling Co. with 40 years of dedicated service.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Salem Advent Christian Church of which he was a longtime member. The Rev. Lamarr Jackson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service, and at the residence of Cynthia Mayo, 1822 Indian Springs Road, Mount Olive, at other times. Salem Church is located beside Tyndall Funeral Home, which is handling the arrangements.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. on Friday at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Hines is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Mayo of Mount Olive; five grandchildren, Richie Crumpler of Stedman, Wendy and Jim Weeks, Sonya and Loren Jackson, Debby and Kevin Wise, and Bobby and Kerri Mayo, all of Mount Olive; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by Hilda Epps Hines, his wife of many years; a daughter, Faye Crumpler; his parents, James Marion and Alice Norris Hines; and his brothers, Eldridge Hines and Kermit Hines.
