Addie B. Kornegay Flowers departed this earthly life on Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be Monday at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with Pastor Ervin Hannah Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hwy. 117 S. The body may be viewed at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., today from 3 until 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 until 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
She was the daughter of the late Deacon Allen and Mother Amelia Best.
Mrs. Flowers is survived by three daughters, Ethel (Eddie) Barnes and Justine Body of Goldsboro, and Audrey (Earnest) Gardner of Decatur, Ga.; two sons, Willie Kornegay and Vernon Kornegay of Goldsboro; one sister, Gertrude Best of Goldsboro; one brother, Burnish (Inell) Best of East Orange, NJ; and other relatives and friends.
