DUDLEY -- Virginia Kay Summers, 57, passed away Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro, with visitation immediately following the service.
Mrs. Summers was born in Iowa June 25, 1952, to the late Quintin and Frances Terrell Haseltine.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Summers; one son, John Rupe of Tennessee; one daughter, Cheri Rogers of Newton Grove; three brothers, William Haseltine of Memphis, Tenn., Robert Haseltine of Colorado and Daniel Haseltine of Iowa; one sister, Vickie Haseltine of Tennessee; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
