ROSE HILL -- Esther Matthis Parkhurst, 84, died Tuesday at the Brian Center in Wallace.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Community Funeral Home chapel in Rose Hill. Visitation will follow the service. A graveside service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in Devotional Gardens.
Mrs. Parkhurst was born in Duplin County Aug. 7, 1924, to the late Archie Lewis and Alice Malcolm Ezzell Matthis. She was the widow of William Franklin Parkhurst Jr.
She is survived by three children.
Community Funeral Home of Rose Hill is serving the family.
