WILLIE L. "BUCK" ATKINSON

Willie Lee "Buck" Atkinson, 82, 701 Devereaux St., died Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, with pastor Joe Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park, U.S. 117 south.
He was the husband of Geraldine Atkinson of the home.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine C. Atkinson of the home; two daughters, Evelyn Starkie and Debora A. Sinclair both of Goldsboro; three sons, William G. Atkinson of Goldsboro, Donald Lee Atkinson of Boston, Mass., and Byron E. (Evangeline) Atkinson of Raleigh; a daughter-in-law, Wilma Atkinson of Goldsboro; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Raymond (Geraldine) Atkinson; two sisters, Mary (Herman) Edwards and Sarah (David) Frazier; three sisters-in-law, Essie Cox and Alice Atkinson both of Goldsboro and Dorothy Atkinson of Maryland; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held today from 2 to 6 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel. A wake will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
