THELMA S. BARWICK

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Thelma Sue Smith Barwick, 80, died Monday.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, with George Futrelle officiating.
Mrs. Barwick was the daughter of the late George and Lillian Mae Jones Smith. She was the wife of the late Paul Fountain Barwick.
Mrs. Barwick attended Daly's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed vegetable gardening, quilting, crafts and her grandchildren.
Mrs. Barwick is survived by two children, Phyllis Coats and husband, Bill, of Tampa, Fla., and Elvin Barwick and wife, Polly, of Raleigh; four grandchildren, Will Coats III and Paul Barwick Coats of Tampa, Fla., April Barwick McMillen and husband, Jeffrey, of Apex and Christopher Paul Barwick of Raleigh; great-grandchild, Abby McMillen; brother, Arnold "Buddy" Smith of Goldsboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Smith Barwick.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home.
