Sara Athenia Howard Douglas, 90, 1405 Poplar St., Apt. 25, was called by our Heavenly Father to her final resting place Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at Church of God and True Holiness, 611 Whitfield Ave., Goldsboro, with elder Robert Faison officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, 443 Martin Luther King Expressway, Goldsboro.

Sara was born in Wayne County Jan. 10, 1919, and she was the daughter of the late Robert Howard and Ellen McDowell Howard.

Mrs. Douglas leaves to cherish her loving memories two children, Elder Bobby Swinson and wife, Ann, of Wilson and Betty Rouse of Stone Mountain, Ga.; one brother, Nathaniel Howard of Goldsboro; two sisters, Dorothy Cherry and Helen Forbes of Elizabeth City; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Wednesday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, from 1 to 5 p.m.

At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence of Gloria Flowers, 1107 S. Porter St., Goldsboro.
