George Edward Hales, 72, 199 Hales Road, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory, with the family receiving friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.
Mr. Hales was born in Wayne County Dec. 27, 1936, to Gertrude Evans Hales and the late Clifton Hales.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Taylor Hales, and two children.
The family is being served by Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
