Jim Stone, 51, passed away Friday into the care of his Savior.
A memorial service will be held in his honor at Stoney Creek FWB Church in Goldsboro at 4 p.m. on Monday.
A native of Siler City, who made Goldsboro his home for over 25 years, he is survived by his wife, Jan; his sons, Justin and Jared; and his granddaughter, Alayna. He also is survived by his parents, Jim and Pat Stone; his sister, Pattie Turner, her husband, Steve, and their daughters, Hannah, Leah, and Micah.
Jimmy was known for his quick wit and will be remembered for his devotion to his family and his zest for life.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be sent to the Foundation of Hope in Memory of Jim Stone, 9401Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC 27617. Arrangements are with Howell Funeral home. Condolences may be sent to www.howellfuneral.com.
