DIXIE HERRING NASH

Dixie Herring Nash, 75, passed away on Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Dixie was born in Wayne County on Nov. 25, 1933, to the late Benjamin Herring and Ava Moore Herring. She was a member of Daniels Memorial United Methodist and Daniels Morning Circle.
The family received friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church with a service to celebrate her life at 3 p.m. with pastor Allen Mason and the Rev. John Dutton officiating.
Dixie is survived by her son, Lee Crisp and wife, Nancy, of Lexington; her granddaughter, Stacy Ogburn and husband, Kevin, of Lexington; her sister, Anne Herring of Goldsboro; and her brother, David Herring and wife, Mandy, of Goldsboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Idell Neal and Louise Gurley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church, 2803 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, NC 27534 or one's favorite charity.
At other times, the family will be at the home of Anne Herring, 160 Braswell Road, Goldsboro (Rosewood Community.)
