Reiko Ono Mitnaul, 76, departed for a new life in heaven at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The viewing will take place at Palmer Memorial Chapel, 1200 Fountaine Place, Columbia, S.C., at 6 p.m. Thursday followed by her homegoing at noon Friday.
Mrs. Mitnaul was born in Fukuoka, Japan, and was the daughter of the late Fukashi and Fujie Ono and the widow of retired 1st Sgt. Woodrow Mitnaul Sr.
She is survived by Col. Henry Mitnaul (Teresa) of Colorado, retired Master Sgt. Woodrow Jr. (Sharon) of the home, Calvin Mitnaul (Christina) of Ohio, retired Gunnery Sgt. Patrick Mitnaul of Tennessee, Patricia Jackson (Rito) of Goldsboro, Anthony Mitnaul (Janel) of South Carolina, Dr. Lyndon Mitnaul (Elizabeth) of New Jersey; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved dearly.
The family will receive guests and family members from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the home, 1861 Rosewood Road, Goldsboro.
