CARL CREECH

SNOW HILL -- Mr. Lyman Carl Creech, 78, passed away Tuesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service, with the Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Committal services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Mewborn Family Cemetery.
A native of Greene County, Carl was born May 7, 1930, the son of William Franklin and Maggie Hinnant Creech. He was a retired farmer and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
His surviving family includes his wife, Cleo Wade Creech; daughters, Connie Creech Sutton and husband, Gordon, of LaGrange and Cathy Creech Page and husband, William, of Snow Hill; grandchildren, Travis Tyler Creech, Skyler Dennis Creech, Carla Wade, Jonathan Johnson, and Stephen Sutton; great-grandchildren, Tyler Boone, Abigail Sutton, Cameron Johnson, Alexis Johnson and Dylan Wade; sisters, Edna Earl Maraijko of Wisconsin, Joan Floyd of Lumberton, Hazel Stallings of Walstonburg, Dorothy Pelletier of Stantonsburg and Barbara Jean Pate of Snow Hill; and brothers, Frank Creech and Nelson Creech, both of Snow Hill.
Mr. Creech was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Lyman Creech.
The family will receive friends on Thursday following service and other times at the home.
