LUTHER M. BRADSHAW

MOUNT OLIVE -- Luther Marvin Bradshaw, 86, 301 Smith Chapel Road, died Tuesday morning.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home with Dr. Dennis Atwood officiating. Burial will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Maplewood Cemetery.
Mr. Bradshaw, a native of Duplin County, was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army in which he was an Army medic. He served on the beaches of Normandy and was aboard the 737 tank batallion in General Patton's Army. A longtime resident of Durham, he owned and operated Bradshaw Dental Lab where he made dentures. He was a member of the Mount Olive First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther James Bradshaw and Sophronia Lee Bradshaw; and by two brothers, Clyde Owen Bradshaw and John Bradshaw. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ferrell Bradshaw; and several nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Danny Street and wife, Pam, Donnie Bradshaw and wife, Sally, Jimmy Bradshaw and wife, Betty, Gerald Bradshaw, Tom Ferrell and wife, Milly, Alex Ferrell and wife, Anna and Carol B. Larson and husband, Pete; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following Thursday night's service, and at the residence at other times.
