Ruby Crawford Hawkins, 89, passed away Sunday.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Johnson Funeral Home on English Road. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
She was born March 9, 1920, in Wayne County. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Effie Wiggins Crawford. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Orlando Kornegay; her second husband, Quincy A. Hawkins; and one daughter, Olive Ann Moore.
She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn K. Garris and husband, Ray, of the home; four grandchildren, Beth Williams and husband, James, of Rocky Mount, Scott Garris and fiancée, Penny Cannatella, of Wendell, Leslie Patten and husband, Spencer, of Goldsboro, and Khristy Parker and husband, Dee, of Rocky Mount; seven great-grandchildren, Alex Garris, Boswick Patten, Olive Ann Parker, Lottie Parker, Fenner Parker, Brad Williams, and Jamie Williams; and one son-in-law, Dusty Moore of Rocky Mount.
