NEWPORT -- James R. Windham, 82, formerly of Wilson, died Monday.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive N., Wilson, followed by visitation. Interment will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.
He was a veteran of World War II and was retired from the former Shackelford Paving Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Molene Howell Windham; brother, Albert C. Windham Jr.; and sisters, Marjorie Bass and Mary Cox.
He is survived by his daughter, Gail Bottoms, and husband, Mat, of Beaufort; granddaughter, Hayden Bottoms of Beaufort; and grandson, Tyler Bottoms of Greenville; sister, Barbara Turnage of Wilson; and brothers, William Windham and Hubert Windham, both of Wilson.
