TADPOLE DANIELS

Charles Spencer "Tadpole" Daniels, 64, passed away Wednesday morning at Pitt Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at United In Christ Church, 1314 Patetown Road, with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell and the Rev. Mike Grady officiating Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Tadpole was born in Wayne County on Sept. 3, 1944, to Alene Parrish Daniels of Goldsboro and the late Freddie Daniels. He was the president and owner of N.C. Salvage Company in Goldsboro and had worked with the company for over 40 years. Tadpole was considered a leader in his industry and was instrumental in the development of study groups that helped improve operations of scrap metal owners across the United States.
For those who knew him, Tadpole will be remembered for his smile and his heart to help those with special needs. He will be missed by many. The love in Tadpole's life were family, friends and of course, his place at Sneads Ferry that he often called his Heaven. Tadpole has always supported the community he was living in, either in Goldsboro or in Sneads Ferry, and did so in ways that were never recognized by anyone. He never forgot where he began his life in Wayne County and never took anything for granted.
Along with a tireless commitment to help the underprivileged in Eastern North Carolina, Tadpole was a member the Goldsboro Elks Lodge No. 139 B.P.O.E. and was a Mason and Shriner. Tadpole had a passion for golf and if it was a beautiful day, he enjoyed being on the links sharing shots and laughter with his friends. Tadpole's passion for life will be sorely missed.
Tadpole was a devoted husband to his wife, Karen Perdue Daniels. In addition to his wife and mother, Tadpole is survived by his daughters, Brandi D. Mason and husband, Chris, of Raleigh and Nicki D. Pittman and husband, Mike, of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Jackson Brady Mason and Kayla Nicole Pittman; his brother, Walter Ray Daniels and wife, Connie, of Goldsboro; and his nephew, Chad Lewis and wife, Donna of Goldsboro. He is also survived by his extended family at N.C. Salvage Company, whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Lewis.
Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be given to a person, group or organization that would benefit from your generosity. This would have been in Tadpole's way of helping others.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home, 1105 Lamp Lighter Circle, Goldsboro.
