EDWARD E. DAVIS SR.

Edward Earl Davis Sr. went to be with the Lord on Feb. 24, 2009.
He was born April 2, 1949, in Lenoir County. He was preceded in death by his mother, Liza Ann Davis and two brothers, W.J. Davis and Offen Davis Jr.
Mr. Davis was employed with Ready Mix Concrete for over 38 years.
He leaves to cherish his memories a special friend of the home, Tric Allen; two sons, Maurice (Rene) Small and Edward E. Davis Jr. of Goldsboro; four daughters, Monica Lee of Kinston, Shelia Small, Pamela Pridgen and Cierra Whitfield, all of Goldsboro; two sisters, Emma (Robert) Davis of Goldsboro and LaVern (Michael) White of Bennettsville, South Carolina; three brothers, Donald (Kathy) Davis, Ronald Davis of Goldsboro and Timothy (Rene) Davis of New Bern; a special friend, Freddie Hobbs of Goldsboro; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
A viewing will be held Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence, 2701 E. Billy Frances Drive in Goldsboro.
