SNOW HILL -- Mrs. Pattie Smith Lovett, 74, passed away Wednesday at her home.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Gene Martin officiating. Committal services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Snow Hill Cemetery.
A native of Greene County, she was born May 22, 1934, the daughter of Sebron Ray and Pattie Dudley Smith. Mrs. Lovett had worked as a caregiver to many homebound and elderly people over the years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Snow Hill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Franklin Lovett.
Her surviving family includes her sons, Gary Franklin Lovett and wife, Dianne, of Snow Hill, and Horace Ray Lovett and wife, Norma, of Snow Hill; grandchildren, Joshua Lovett and wife, Ashley, Matthew Lovett and fiancé, Amanda, Jacob Lovett, Jessica Lovett and Hayes Lovett; brothers, Tom Smith and wife, Ann, of Virginia and Shade Smith and wife, Susan, of Florida.
The family will receive friends on Friday following the service and other times at the residence, 208 Eastover Drive, Snow Hill.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 484, Snow Hill, N.C., 28580.
Arrangements are being handled by Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service.
