Pastor Dolly Mae Everette, 72, lovingly known by her family and church friends as "Pastor Everette," 200 E. Lockhaven Drive, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Philadelphia Community Church, 357 Hare Road, with pastor Raymond Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow in Everette Family Cemetery, 1515 Old Smithfield Road, Smithfield. A viewing will be held Friday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., from 1 to 7 p.m. A wake will be conducted on Friday evening at Hamilton Funeral Chapel from 6 to 7 with the family present to receive other family members and friends.

Pastor Everette was born in Jefferson County, Alabama, on Oct. 14, 1936, to the late Mack Kennedy and Pearl Burton Kennedy.

Pastor Everette was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Pastor Wade Everette Jr.; one sister and eight brothers.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, one daughter, Roletta Jenine Everette of Goldsboro; three sons, David Scott and wife, Pamela, of Chesapeake, Va., Eric Scott and wife, Shirlene, of Goldsboro and Samuel Wade Everette of the home; two grandsons she reared as her own, Andre Everette and Antonio Everette; other grandchildren whom she adored are David Jr., Tiffany, Sherina, Joedore, Bryawnna and Keyawnna; one sister, Mary Reynolds and husband, Walter, of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, James Kennedy of Oakland, Calif. and Jerry Kennedy of Alabama; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends and a very special friend, Diane Smith, of Goldsboro.

At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence of Mr. Samuel Everette, 200 E. Lockhaven Drive, Apartment 3-D, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
