Gene Autry Tippette, 66, 203 N. College Ave., Kenly died Tuesday morning at Johnston Medical Center.
Funeral services will be tonight at 6 at Casey Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Raymond Glenn Daughtry and the Rev. Michael Stephens officiating. There will be a private committal service.
He was born Oct. 10, 1942, and was the son of the late William Harris and Estelle Baker Tippette.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Myers Blackman; one daughter; and one stepdaughter.
The family will receive friends tonight at 5 before the funeral service.
Arrangements are being handled by Casey Funeral Home.
