Leora Lantz Hall, 78, passed away Thursday morning at Britthaven Nursing Home in Kinston.
A service to celebrate Leora's life will be held Sunday at 5 p.m. at Pine Forest United Methodist Church with the Rev. Billy Olsen officiating. Interment with her husband will be held at a later date in Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, Ky.
Leora was born in Aurora, W. Va., on April 12, 1930, to the late Cecil Lantz and Evelyn Sanders Lantz. She was married to the late John A. Hall. Leora was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church.
Leora is survived by her brother, Keith Lantz of Burlington, Wis.; her sister, Lois Tekely of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her many friends at Pine Forest Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boy Scout Troop 258, Pine Forest United Methodist Church, 867 S. N.C. 581 Highway, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
The family will greet friends Sunday following the service in the fellowship hall at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
