Donohue Jackson Shelton, 72, died Wednesday at home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Shelton was born in Saratoga to the late Robert and Bettie Wooten Shelton.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Shelton; and two children.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. with the chapel service following at 11 a.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
Arrangements are being handled by Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
