Jack Earl Best, 64, of 508 S. Herman St. died Tuesday in Butner.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at Mount Zion SDA Church in Parkstown. He will be laid to rest in the Old Mill Cemetery.
His survivors include two sons; four granddaughters; a brother, George Henry Best of Goldsboro; sisters, Georgia Best Wooten of Goldsboro and Gladys Best Worrells of Philadelphia, Pa.; and two uncles, Samuel Jackson of LaGrange and Melvin Jackson of Goldsboro.
There was a time of reflection with the family present to receive friends on Saturday from 6 until 7 at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries, Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at the residence where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
