MOUNT OLIVE -- Dorothy Brock Coley, 76, of 2011 Indian Springs Road, died Friday at SunBridge Care Center.
Funeral services for Mrs. Coley will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and relatives following the service at the funeral home, and at other times at the Bryant Coley residence, 522 Edwina Kornegay Road, Mount Olive. A private entombment will be in Maplewood Cemetery at a later time.
She had been employed in several area garment factories through the years, and had assisted her husband in the operation of Dudley Grocery and Grill.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth F. Coley of the home; four children, Janice Coley Miller and husband, Travis, of Mount Olive, Kenneth Bryant Coley and wife, Phyllis, of Calypso, Patricia Ann Coley of Mount Olive and David Earl Coley of the home; three grandchildren, Michael Miller, Morgan Coley Lee and Joshua Coley; three great-grandchildren, Madison Lee, Cainen Miller and Colby Miller; a brother and sister-in-law, H. Earl and Nancy Brock of Mount Olive; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Rossie Brock Byrd of Warsaw, Minnie Lee Brock Holloman and husband, Leonard, of Mount Olive, Carolyn Brock King and husband, Kenneth, of Mount Olive, and Katherine Brock Gardner and husband, Wayne, of Dudley; two other sisters-in-law, Rose Brock of Fayetteville and Norma Brock of Faison; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Coley was preceded in death by her mother, Sallie Swinson Brock; her father, Henry Brock; her stepmother, Mallie Dail Brock; two brothers, Prentice Brock and Herman L. "Jam" Brock; and a half-brother, Eugene Dail.
