LOIS R. THOMPSON

Lois Reardon Thompson, 81, a long-time resident of Grantham, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Jean.

A funeral service will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. David Jackson and Dock Hobbs officiating. Burial will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service Monday night and at other times at her daughter, Jean's home, 187 Vance Dr., Goldsboro.

Born in Four Oaks, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Lettie Capps Reardon and wife of the late Sam L. Thompson.

Mrs. Lois is survived by her son, Luby Thompson and wife, Janet, of LaGrange; daughters, Lena Carroll and husband, Ric, of Ocean Springs, Miss., Arlene Wade and husband, Keith, of Goldsboro, Jean Sills and husband, Allen, of Goldsboro, Polly Hall and husband, David, of Surf City, and Nancy and fiancé, Bobby Outlaw, of Dudley; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Thompson of Grantham; brother, Linwood Reardon of Smithfield; sister, Linda Fay Evans of Four Oaks; and 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Johnnie Thompson; brothers, Harold Reardon, Sherwood Reardon, and Howard Reardon; and a sister, Sara Thompson.
