CAROL C. PEARCE

Elizabeth Carol Carter Pearce, 57, passed away Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with pastor Jeff Toler officiating. Burial will follow in Pikeville Cemetery.
Carol was born in Wayne County on March 4, 1951, to Thelma Herring Pate of Goldsboro and the late James David Carter. She was married to the late Roy Rogers Pearce.
Carol is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Michelle Pearce of Goldsboro and Roy and Melissa Pearce of Goldsboro; her daughter, Kimberly Carol P. Pennington and fiancé, Barry Phipps, of Goldsboro; her sister, Donna Kay Olive and husband, Johnny, of Durham; her grandchildren, Brian Helmick and fiancée, Miranda Burroughs, Trey Pearce, Taylor Pearce, Joshua Pennington, Jarred Pennington, Victoria Pearce, and Brandon Pearce; and her special sisters-in-law, Marlene Jernigan and husband, James, of Charlotte; Lois Boswell of Goldsboro, and Patricia Miller and husband, George, of Pikeville.
In addition to her husband and father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Buddy Carter.
The family also would like to thank the nursing staff of the sixth floor at Wayne Memorial Hospital and Dr. Wendy Cipriani.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Roy and Melissa Pearce, 1808 E. O'Berry Center Road, Goldsboro.
