Martha Victoria Bartlett Branski passed to her eternal life on Saturday at Pitt Memorial Hospital at the age of 86.
A service to remember Martha will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a time of visitation for family and friends. Interment will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with military honors.
Martha was born and raised in Wayne County to the late Victor Allen Bartlett and Martha Hill Bartlett. She joined the United States Army during World War II and served as a nurse. Martha married and raised her family in Wisconsin, working as a nurse there. Martha retired to her childhood home of Wayne County.
Martha is survived by John, her husband of 63 years; her son, Michael, and daughter-in-law, Karen of Milwaukee, Wis.; her grandchildren, Christopher and Caroline; and many wonderful cousins, nieces and nephews in Wayne County.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, John Andrew and Elizabeth Jean.
