Manfired Teachey, 72, died Monday at his home.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. in Eureka Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie McKeel officiating.

Manfired was born in Wayne County on March 29, 1936, to the late Leon Teachey and Naomi Gurley Teachey. He was the owner and operator of Teachey Installation.

Manfired is survived by his daughters, Pamela White of Princeton and Teresa Ennis and husband, David, of Morehead City; his sisters, Letha Lewis of Faro, Fennette Rouse of LaGrange and Mary Smith of Goldsboro; his brother, Leon Teachey Jr. of Goldsboro; and three grandchildren, David Ennis, Jr., Ashley Ennis and Nicholas White.

He is also survived by his former wife and best friend, Ann Pender Teachey of Belfast.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Emma Fields and stepfather, John Henry Fields; his brothers, Melvin Teachey and James Teachey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Royal Rangers at Belfast Pentecostal Holiness Church, 3093 N. U.S. 117 Highway, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Ann Teachey, 3093 N. U.S. 117 Highway, Goldsboro.
