Jeffery William Wheeler, 44, passed away suddenly on Saturday in Plum Branch, S.C.

A celebration of Jeff's life will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Goldsboro Friends Meeting with David Brindle officiating. The family will greet friends following this service at the church.

Jeff was born in Wayne County on Dec. 17, 1963, to the late George Robert Wheeler and Jane Elizabeth Melvin Wheeler.

He owned and operated Wheelco Industries in Pikeville. Jeff had a great love for the Washington Redskins and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had served his country in the United States Army.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Susan Moore Wheeler; his sons, Scott Wheeler and Bryan Wheeler, both of Pikeville; his daughter, Lori Barba and husband, Blake of Plum Branch, S.C. He is also survived by his grandchildren, whom Grandpa Jeff loved very much, Aubrey, Obed, Nehemyah, Teruaw and one on the way. Also surviving are his brother, Mike Wheeler and wife, Sally of Seven Springs and their children, Mandy and Candy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelli.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Goldsboro Friends Meeting, 700 Guilford St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
