EASTER W. DENNING

NEWTON GROVE -- Easter Westbrook Denning, 81, went home to be with her Lord on Monday.
Funeral services will be conducted tonight at 6 with the Rev. Bill Wilson and the Rev. Walter Gaskins officiating at Pleasant Union Christian Church in Newton Grove. Visitation will follow the funeral service. A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery on Thursday at 11 a.m.
Mrs. Denning was born April 15, 1927, in Sampson County to the late John W. and Sannie Smith Westbrook. She was preceded in death by siblings, John W. Westbrook Jr., Bernice Westbrook, Marguerite W. Williford, Mable W. Smith, and Bruce Westbrook.
Surviving are husband, Guy Denning, daughters, Sannie D. Barefoot and husband, Joey, of Garner, Winnie Denning and fiancé, Rick Flowers, of Newton Grove; special grandson, Chad Barefoot and wife, Karyn of Garner; and special great-grandchildren, Molly and Bradley Barefoot, of Garner; and her best friend, Chelsie, the dog. She is also survived by brothers, Amos Westbrook and Scott Westbrook, of Newton Grove and J.B. Westbrook ,of Las Vegas, Nev.
Easter began her career with the telephone company in Clinton. She met the love of her life, Guy, shortly thereafter. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary Thanksgiving Day of this year.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Pleasant Union Christian Church, P.O. Box 1, Newton Grove, N.C., 28366.
