Manetta Brown, 60 of Bowie, Md., formerly of Wilson, N.C., passed away Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008 in Wilson, N.C. Service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at L. N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Tabernacle, 1800 Lane St. extension, with the Elder George E. Wiggins officiating. Interment will be in the Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street extension.
She leaves a legacy of love and dedication to one son, Dalreese Brown of the home; two daughters, Shalice Brown and Shavon Brown both of Landover, Md.; her mother, Wilhelmina Edwards of Bowie, Md.; three brothers, James Taylor of Dudley, N.C.; Willard D. Brown, and Cyril Brown Sr. both of Snow Hill, N.C.; one sister, Norma Brown Guest of Snow Hill, N.C.; two aunts, Mildred Pigford of Elizabith, N.J. and Clara Brown of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a host of other special relatives and friends.
A viewing will take place Friday from 1 until 5:30 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 726 Tarboro St., SW, with the family present later in the evening to receive friends from 7 until 9 at Leventon Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, Highway 58 East Stantonsburg, N.C.
