Mrs. Mary Rachel Middleton, 86, 1735 E. Holly St., died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon at St. Mark Church of Christ Disciples of Christ Church, Lane Town Road in Faro with pastor Robert Deidrick Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery on Lane Street Extension in Wilson.
A viewing will be held on Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St. The family will receive friends at St. Mark Church of Christ Disciples of Christ Church, Lane Town Road in Faro on Saturday at 11 a.m.
The family will assemble at 9:45 a.m. to line up for the procession at Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
She is survived by three daughters, Theresa V. Queen of Landover, Md., Priscilla Ann Middleton of Rock Hill, S.C. and Phyllis Twana Middleton of Washington, D.C.; three sons, Leon Middleton of District Heights, Md., William Lee Middleton of Washington D.C. and the Rev. James C. Forte of Wilson; five sisters, Cora Snyder of Capitol Heights, Md., Elizabeth Uzzell of Eureka, Pandora Ward of Wilson, Harriett Forte of Columbus, Ohio, and Ruth Yelverton of Goldsboro; two brothers, Mack Artis of Goldsboro and Gene Ray Artis of Capitol Heights, Md.; 23 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nieces including, Kay Frances Kornegay of Goldsboro; nephews and many other relatives and friends.
