Frank C. Bell, 90, passed away on Thursday at his home in North Carolina surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Nichol Funeral Home in Pennsylvania. Burial will follow in the Prosperity Cemetery in Prosperity, Pa.

Frank was born in Washington, Pa., on Oct. 15, 1918, to the late Thomas J. Bell and Sara Manon Bell. He was married for 64 years to Ann B. Bell, who passed on Jan. 20, 2008.

Frank retired in 1982 from Milcraft with 20 years of service. He was a lifelong member of Laboratory Presbyterian Church, where he held various offices and was a life member and charter member of the S. Strabane No. 1 (Pancake) Volunteer Fire Company.

He is survived by his daughters, Sally Rush and husband, the Rev. Duane Rush of Goldsboro and Susie Lyn Gowen, of Vero Beach, Fla.; his son, Kim C. Bell and wife, Mary Lou, of Washington, Pa.; his brother, Billy H. Bell of Washington, Pa.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Elaine Wright, Marjorie Strachan, Ola Gamber, Bonnie Pasterchalk and June Claffey; and his brother, Dan Bell.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at Nichol Funeral Home in Washington, Pa.

Local arrangements are being handled by Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
