DOROTHY B. STRICKLAND

Dorothy Britt Strickland, 90, passed away on Wednesday at the Brian Center.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Dorothy was born in Wake County on July 13, 1918, to the late Carey Lawrence Britt and Lena Lillian Beaty Britt. She was married to the late Reuben Strickland.
Dorothy retired from S.H. Kress Department Store with 34 years of service. She was
a member of Pinewood Presbyterian Church.
Dorothy is survived by her sister, Ruth Howell of Irmo, S.C., and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruby Britt and Margaret Pierce; and her brothers, Dan Britt, Louis Britt and Luther Britt.
The family will greet friends following the service at the graveside.
Arrangements are being handled by Seymour Funeral Home of Goldsboro.
