KENANSVILLE -- Clarence Thomas "Tommy" Potter, 59, Highway 11 and 903 N., died Sunday at New Hanover Regional from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw. Burial will follow in Pate Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw.

Mr. Potter was born Sept. 5, 1949 to the late John Daniel and Ada Mae Pate Potter.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Mills Potter of the home; son, Brandon Potter and wife, Christy; daughter, Lea Futrell and husband, Jerry; grandchildren, Chase and J.R. Potter; sisters, Shelva Jean Brock, Dorothy Kornegay and husband, Donald, all of Kenansville, Rachel Holland and husband, Billy of Warsaw; brother-in-law, Billy Ray Chambers Sr. of Kenansville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by a sister, Addie Mae Chambers.
