MOUNT OLIVE -- Marilyn Dale Smith Taylor, 52, died Monday at SunBridge Care Center.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive with bishop Richard Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Cemetery in Seven Springs. The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home on Friday night from 7 to 9 p.m.

Born in Cumberland County and a former resident of Hope Mills, she was a special education school teacher. Southern Academy in Mount Olive was her last place of employment. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, worshipping at the Mount Olive ward.

Her father, Henry Alton Smith, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Bryan L. Taylor of Glen-Care of Mount Olive; her mother, Linnie Smith of Wilmington; four sons, Jared Daniel Taylor and wife, Amanda of Johnson City, Tenn., Jason Lawrence Taylor of Seven Springs, Alton Ray Taylor and wife, Stacy of Limestone, Tenn., and Lonnie Aaron Taylor of Dudley; two sisters, Barbara Gail Culbreth of Hope Mills, and Debbie Lynn Dumas of Spring Lake; and six grandchildren, Caleb, Julianna, Anthony, Chase, Andrew, and Aidan Taylor.

Arrangements are being handled by Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive.
